Closed-System Colon Hydrotherapy

Coming Summer 2026

At Soma Restorative Wellness, our nervous system-informed colon hydrotherapy sessions are designed to be gentle, support digestive flow, gut health, and whole-body restoration in a calm, supportive environment.

Keri Berardinelli, BCCHT, is a Board-Certified Colon Hydrotherapist with additional training in holistic nutrition, quantum biology, biofeedback, somatic facial therapy, aromatherapy, and elemental reflexology. Her approach recognizes the profound connection between the gut and nervous system, helping clients feel more supported, regulated, and connected throughout their wellness journey.

Rather than focusing solely on elimination, our sessions are designed to encourage awareness, relaxation, and restoration while supporting the body's natural processes.

FAQ's

Colon Hydrotherapy is a safe, effective method of removing waste from the large intestine. By introducing a small amount of temperature-regulated water into the colon, the waste is softened and loosened, resulting in evacualtion through natural peristalsis. This process is repeated a few times during a session.

Absolutely. At Soma Restorative Wellness, your comfort and safety are our top priorities. We use FDA-registered, state-of-the-art equipment featuring a 3-stage water filtration system, backflow prevention valves, internal sanitation protocols, and built-in temperature and pressure sensors for optimal control.

Every session is conducted using sterile, single-use disposable rectal speculums — ensuring the highest standard of hygiene for each client.

Colon hydrotherapy is most effective when supported by daily habits that promote regulation, restoration, and digestive health. To help maximize the benefits of your session, we encourage:

• Staying well hydrated and nourishing the body with nutrient-dense foods

• Supporting circadian health through consistent sleep, meal timing, and healthy daily rhythms

• Gentle movement, walking, stretching, or regular exercise to encourage circulation and healthy elimination

• Stress-reducing practices such as time in nature, morning sunlight exposure, breathwork, prayer, meditation, or other activities that help calm and regulate the nervous system

These foundational lifestyle practices not only support digestive wellness and healthy elimination, but also contribute to a more resilient nervous system, balanced microbiome, and greater overall vitality.

At Soma Restorative Wellness, we recognize that digestion and elimination are closely connected to the nervous system. When the body is under chronic stress, digestive function, motility, and healthy elimination can become compromised.

Our nervous system-informed approach prioritizes comfort, relaxation, and creating an environment where clients feel safe and supported. Rather than viewing colon hydrotherapy solely as a cleansing procedure, we view it as an opportunity to encourage awareness, relaxation, and restoration while supporting the body's natural elimination processes.

By addressing both the gut and the nervous system, many clients experience a greater sense of ease, connection, and overall well-being.

Board certification demonstrates an advanced level of education, clinical knowledge, and commitment to professional standards within the field of colon hydrotherapy.

As a Board-Certified Colon Hydrotherapist (BCCHT), Keri Berardinelli has successfully completed additional training, examination requirements, and continuing education beyond foundational certification. This credential reflects a commitment to providing safe, ethical, and informed care while staying current with industry standards and best practices.

For clients, board certification offers an added level of confidence that they are working with a practitioner who has pursued advanced professional development and demonstrated competency within the profession.

Every individual is different. While many new clients begin with a series of three sessions, recommendations are based on personal health history, goals, lifestyle, and how the body responds. Our approach emphasizes gradual restoration and individualized care rather than a one-size-fits-all treatment plan.
